<![CDATA[We are Thankful -- Community Share Table November 26, 2017]]>Tue, 21 Nov 2017 14:40:48 GMThttp://clcnashville.org/current-events/we-are-thankful-community-share-table-november-26-2017
We are very grateful for the community support and friendship we share at Christ Lutheran.

This weekend is our monthly Community Share Table. If you have any gently used items you might want to donate, please bring them this Friday or Saturday, November 24-25th and they will be placed on our tables to be claimed by those in need.

Whatever is not claimed by the end of the weekend is taken to Thriftsmart, a local thrift store, and for every 100 lbs. of donated material given, we receive a $10 Gift Card we can then give to others in need. It's a wonderful way to share what we have with our communities who might need furniture, clothing, nonperishable food or other household items. THANK YOU for your generosity and kindness in this Thanksgiving season!

All Saints celebrates the baptized people of God, living and dead, who are the body of Christ. As November heralds the dying of the landscape in many northern regions, the readings and liturgy call us to remember all who have died in Christ and whose baptism is complete.
At the Lord’s table we gather with the faithful of every time and place, trusting that the promises of God will be fulfilled and that all tears will be wiped away in the new Jerusalem.

ALSO, we will be celebrating our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner this Sunday after worship. Please join us a bring a side dish or dessert to share. ALL ARE WELCOME.

<![CDATA[Grief Recovery Group Begins July 27th at 7 pm]]>Sat, 22 Jul 2017 14:28:07 GMThttp://clcnashville.org/current-events/grief-recovery-group-begins-july-27th-at-7-pm
Grief and loss can be overwhelming.
If you feel stuck in your pain, you're not alone.

Loss can include many life events: divorce, ending a relationship/estrangement, moving, loss of health, loss of job, finances, etc. However, there is a proven method for recovery that's been around for decades.

The Grief Recovery Method provides sequential, prescribed steps for overcoming grief. It puts you in the driver's seat and helps you actively process your grief in an emotionally safe environment while in connection with others. The course is 8-weeks and will start Thursday, July 27th at 7pm. Anyone interested can sign up in the church office, or call Patrick White at 615-893-1596.

This Grief Recovery Group will also be participating in a study by Kent State University. Details will be discussed in the opening session.
